Our King Cabins are designed for year-round comfort and quiet retreat. Warm, modern, and beautifully simple, each cabin is carefully positioned to offer privacy, natural light, and a strong connection to the landscape. Vaulted ceilings, soft tones, and large sliding doors create a calm, open space to relax, unwind, and slow the pace.
At the heart of the cabin is a split king bed, giving you the flexibility of a super-king or two king singles. Combined with generous insulation and quality linens, the cabins stay warm in winter, cool in summer, and peaceful all year round — ideal for deep, uninterrupted rest.

The Set Up
The King Cabins are exceptionally well insulated, allowing them to hold warmth efficiently while minimising energy use. Hot water is supplied by an energy-efficient heat pump hot water system, providing reliable, plentiful hot water with a significantly lower environmental footprint.
Each cabin includes a private ensuite with a spacious rain shower, modern fittings, and soft lighting, as well as a private timber deck for outdoor living. Everything has been designed to feel effortless, comfortable, and considered — a place where sustainability and comfort naturally go hand in hand.

'One word to describe this place...HEAVEN!! I don’t know where to start, from the outdoor fire, the outdoor bath, the beautiful views, the resident ducks to the cozy hammock, I wish we could have stayed 2 nights but had booked the Abel Tasman walk the next day, this place is pure bliss. we even moved forward our water taxi the next morning so we could stay an extra few hours. Our night was spent in the hot tub and toasting marshmallows under the stars, I wouldn't change a thing, it was perfection in every sense, if we ever come back we will booking to stay here for sure, I’ve stayed in many many air bnbs and this one has to be one of the best by far, it’s in its own category that you can’t compare to anywhere else, not to mention the best location in the Abel Tasman for sure, even to shower in the morning and look out onto the ocean every little moment I spent there was so special, Thank you for creating and sharing such a special place'
What an amazing place - hard to beat this location and guests also get the benefit of the amenities of the campsite. A lot of thought has clearly gone into this. It is very well designed with lots of space and great interiors, including the log fire. The highlight for us was the ducks that greeted us on arrival and wanted to hang out with us, even laying an egg or two for breakfast!
Dream spot, dream house. We have already booked to come back for my partner's birthday next month. Comfiest bed in the world. Shower with a view, outdoor bath, sharp knives! Roaring fire that kept the place toasty all night. Friendly, welcoming people at reception, friendly, welcoming ducks at the house. A short walk/ ride to so many great spots. 100% the best digs in Marahau, maybe the world.
