Two Night Marine Explorer
You will start the Two Night Marine Explorer on the first boat up into the park from Marahau to Torrent Bay. From here, it is on foot hiking through our favourite hiking section of The Abel Tasman called the Gullet to Awaroa. Once in Awaroa you can stay in the lodge, hut or campsite. Cold drinks and hot pizza will be available at the Awaroa restaurant for a first-night treat!
Day 2: You start from the very top of the Marine Reserve with your experienced and knowable guide. Stop by the Baby Seal nursery on the way down the coast seeing all the marine life. At the end of the day your guide will leave you on a kayak-only access beach for you to set up camp for the night! This place is called Mosquito Bay and is truly awesome spot. The next day you are now masters of the sea kayak and will do your own exploring from Bark Bay down to Anchorage. Some notable highlights through here is paddling up Falls River and exploring Frenchman’s Lagoon and Torrent Bay. Make sure you arrive back to Anchorage by 3:30pm for your ride back to Marahau.
