Powered and Non-Powered Campsites
Some of the very best campsites are found right here at The Barn. Our campground looks out over Tasman Bay and Fisherman Island and overlooks the Abel Tasman walking track where you can people-watch travellers as they embark on their adventures.
We have a mix of powered and non-powered sites for you to choose from. You can choose to either park up, or pitch your tent.
The Barn is pet friendly to friendly pets. If you do decide to bring them, then they must remain on a leash at all times. If you don’t think your pet will be comfortable in a communal setting then please leave them at home. The enjoyment of other guests is a higher priority than another person’s pet.

We have showers and toilets available to all guests. We also have a fully stocked kitchen available for indoor and outdoor fires, great communal areas, a small shop, a playground, and games for all to enjoy.
We image a world far beyond the empty mundane campground and would love you to be a part of it.
The Park Cafe is our local cafe, restaurant, and bar, hosting great live music and lots of yummy meals. They are located just 100m away.
Being one of the sunniest regions in New Zealand, it is a fantastic spot for the whole family get together. Just a 100m from the start of the Abel Tasman, you will have the best access to the Abel Tasman beaches.
Porters Beach (kid friendly) is just a 5-10min walk into the park. A cool walk down the board walks then 5mins through the forrest reveals The First beach in the Abel Tasman. A great location for an easy beach adventure for the kids to remember! There are also glow worms down this section
Lots of drift wood for the big kids to build there own beach forts, nice calm shallow waters for the kids and plenty of great picnic spots and coastal exploring to keep the kids busy all afternoon. Being a very tidal beach creates a swimmable beach on the higher tides and great fossicking on the lower tides.
