The Barn Cabins & Camp

Family Cabins

Great for the whole team

Family Cabins

The Family Cabins provide privacy and comfort at a reasonable price and are a great family option for accomodation in Marahau. The Cabins offer a private bedroom with shared facilities, so you will get your own space whilst socialising in the communal areas. These all come with shared kitchens and bathrooms.

Shared Facilities

The kitchen/dining rooms are shared facilities as well as the bathrooms. Both styles of family Cabins are approximately 10-30m away.

There are great outdoor facilities including large outdoor decks, fireplaces, outdoor seating, movie room, hammocks, pool tables, table tennis, corn hole, petanque, kubbs, volleyball and more! Great to keep the kids exploring and playing.

The Split Apple Family Kayak Trip

Take the kids on an easy 2-3 hour Family Split Apple Kayaking Trip. Departing from Marahau with a guide you will paddle for around 30-60mins to get to the famous Split Apple Rock (Tokangawha).

Take in the sights of nesting seabirds, caves, and golden sand beaches as you can paddle around the rock formation. You will land on the beach and explore some caves for an hour or so.  Then it’s just a leisurely paddle back into Marahau to finish the trip.

Departing in the late morning, you can take your time getting the kids up and sorting out breakfast before departing on a memorable exploration!

This is the perfect tour for those with junior travelers or those wanting a more leisurely pace.

Three Communal Kitchens

We have Three communal kitchens on the site for you to use and enjoy. The Camp Kitchen is small and rustic with great views out over the Campground and Ocean. Secondly, The Barn is fully stocked and has the homely vibe that everyone loves. Finally, we also have the Big Kitchen, great for large families or groups to gather together for a meal.

The Park Cafe is our local cafe, restaurant, and bar, hosting great live music and lots of yummy meals. They are located just 100m away.
