The Best Trip
Take a water taxi all the way up to Awaroa, and paddle the entire marine reserve down, visiting Shag Harbour, Tonga Island seal sanctuary, Oneatuhuti Beach, Tonga Quary and Bark Bay. Lunch included!
Leaving Marahau you spend the morning kayaking into the Abel Tasman! Around mid Day you leave the kayak at a pre determined beach. You’ll mix it up for the afternoon and hike back into Marahau, finishing just 100m down the road from The Barn.
Freedom option is the most wallet friendly option, but still packs a punch. Exploring the first section of the Abel Tasman, you will look around the Astrolabe and Adele/Fisherman Island. Have lunch were and when you choose, just make sure you bring the kayak back to Marahau in the afternoon!
